Link 4.0 And Shadow Link Hockey Jersey Designs

Link 4.0 by Dave Delisle

Time for a new Link design! Some folks weren’t entirely enamored with the Link 3.0 design, mainly my decision to use blue forearms and a lighter green. I was trying to emulate this character design, but alas it didn’t work. The 3.0 was still a hit, but not the homerun I was swinging for.

So I decided to bring back the green and brown from the 2.0 design, but this time I added Vegas Gold to echo the trim in this character design. I then changed the font to match the recent Direwolves jersey, which turned out perfect.

Shadow Link has been a popular request, so I mirrored the 4.0 design (of course). It looks evil alright!

Zelda 3.0 Hockey Jersey Design

Introducing the Zelda 3.0 hockey jersey design (um, let’s call this one 2.5 or Dark Link 1.0). Hard to believe it has been exactly a year since I made the 2.0 design. Was hoping to do this sooner instead of a 2.0 encore run but I think the extra time between jerseys has paid off with this inspired design.

This iteration is based on the Link costume from Skyward Sword, hence the blue forearms. The front shield logo is more ornate, the same can be said for the back neck crest.

But one detail I am really excited about is the chain mail pattern that will adorn the grey stripes. From a distance they should look like normal grey stripes, but up close they’ll have a rich detail that is somewhat reminiscent of the mesh seen in the recent Man of Steel film.

Last month I had an offer running for Zelda and Doctor Who jerseys, which are currently in production. Rinkgear sent me this pic of the Zelda crest which they are also sending me as a sample (not a complete jersey).

This is going into a frame upon its arrival and onto the wall.

It looks absolutely stunning, wouldn’t you agree? Amazing work by Rinkgear. Here is a bonus as well for those who ordered – the Triforce symbol on the back of the jersey will also be embroidered by Rinkgear at no extra charge (originally it was slated to be a twill crest). So awesome of Rinkgear to provide that.

Love the color of the green. Echos Green Bay Packers to me, which is great.

And for those asking: The Zelda jersey will be back in a few months, around May or June, haven’t really decided (they will look different too).
