My first wallpaper for this blog is an NHL ’94 version of Bobby Orr’s famous “leaping” goal from 1970. I drew sprites for Bobby Orr, the goalie, and the player who tripped Orr. I then edited the goal crease and removed some helmets to reflect the 70’s era.
I’m contemplating doing a few others, such as Paul Henderson’s ’72 goal, the USA Miracle on Ice celebration, the Golden Goal from 2010 (Crosby), and that’s all that comes to mind right now.
After the jump: a version of the wallpaper with a star, and another version with the game’s UI (4:3 sizes too).
The Royals jerseys are done! The Boston Bruins-inspired jerseys made for House Baratheon fans will be shipping out next week for those who ordered. Miss out? You can sign up here to be notified the next time it becomes available.
Awesome work again by Geeky Jerseys. You can see why they’re becoming such a popular hockey team outfitter these days.
This will compliment the recent Direwolves jerseys nicely. If you’re interested the Lannister jersey is
currently available (Update: was a May offer, now closed), and Targaryen will be offered in the next few months. A Night’s Watch 2.0 jersey is also on the docket. Stannis Baratheon and Greyjoy fans I hear you, please bear with me.
If it were feasible I’d offer all houses at once, but Geeky Jerseys are super-busy these days, plus I think it’s better to space them out to avoid wallet fatigue.
This is a design for a Browncoats jersey, which is based on this old Boston Bruins jersey. I know the orientation of the main logo may be subject to debate, but it looks better with the triangle pointing down and the star up. This orientation is similar to the San Jose Sharks/Pittsburgh Penguins/Anaheim Mighty Ducks logos, all of which are also triangular in shape.
