I’d buy one. You could leave the Macross triangle logo off if you are worried about flak. As for the Skull, Harmony Gold doesn’t own the Jolly Roger, they borrowed it from someone else: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VFA-103. I’d leave it as is.
