General Lee Hockey Jersey Design
The diagonal DUKES is similar to the New York Rangers style, but here it is meant to give the impression of a sash, which is something an actual Duke would wear. Neat, huh?
Ah the 80’s. All you had to do was cast a cool car for a hit show. The A-Team, Knight Rider, Magnum P.I., The Fall Guy, Hardcastle & McCormick, and Dukes of Hazzard might be more known today for their cars than the stories and characters the shows depicted.

oooooo yes i love it if i had to pick i would say just the dukes lol
or u could put the flag on the front
Flags tend to look pretty awkward as the primary front crest, which is why no one uses them in International hockey. But as a small patch flags look great – almost invokes a military or official-ness to the design.
How about either General Lee or Hazzard in a script font across the front a la the Minnesota Wild 3rd jersey? Heck, even the small Charger logo might look good across the front on the jersey.
That might be able to work. They use a western ‘playbill’-like font in Dukes, so it might not translate too well in script form.
I’ll see what I can do, though generally I am not a fan of wordmark logos (see the Tampa Bay ‘Bolts’ jersey or Ottawa’s ‘Sens’ jersey). However Minny did make theirs look great.
Just the word “DUKES” (same font as the logo http://www.moviewallpaper.net/wpp/The_Dukes_of_Hazzard_Wallpaper_6_1024.jpg ) would be a more “PC” logo for the front. Like you, I’m not offended. When in public, chances go way up with the flag. Love your work.
Actually that just might work! Thanks for the high-res image too.
Hopefully people would see the flag being used as a homage to the General Lee in this design. It is quite funny how you seldom see the flag in promo shots for the car – it’s always obscured by the camera angle.
I updated the design – thanks for your feedback, very helpful.
I agree that the new version looks more Collegiate than NHL, but a pic of Uncle Jesse (ala an older ATL Braves logo ( http://www.freewebs.com/good_ol_boys/UncleJesse.jpg ))… folks just would not understand.
I’m flattered you considered my idea. Looks great! Now I gotta convince the wife to let me order one. When are they available?
Great looking design. I prefer the crossed sticks vs the more traditional stars and bars. Gives it that extra hockey flavor.
I WANT I WANT I WANT….as a hockey fan in the South East that would be the perfect Blend 🙂
I like it but being a lil nit-picky here, the 1 isn’t “right”. I’d like it more if it was the flat top style that was on the car.
Would you be able to make a total condederate flag hockey jersey? I am working on putting a team together here in Texas. We are working on the name of the team right now. We are thinking about calling it the Rebels, renegade rednecks, or the Southern Trendkillers
Awesome. We were gonna call our beer hockey league “The Dekes of Hazard” and the confederate jerseys would be perfect.
Is the updated “Dukes” jersey available? Do you plan on making them in the future?
I offered this shortly after I posted the design, unfortunately it didn’t take: https://davesgeekyhockey.com/2012/05/01/some-updates/
Are you selling these? If so I would like to find out about ordering one.
Nope, we tried once, it didn’t take. No Dukes jerseys will ever be offered again.
Do you happen to have one laying around regardless of size, I would love to buy it.
None were made.
