First up is the tried-and-true Direwolves jersey. The requests for this one pour in daily — likely because of the hundreds of people wearing these out and about. I know a few of you were hoping for a white away jersey, but the majority demand the black home jersey. One addition is the sword Ice wrapped in the Stark motto.

I was really happy with the way Targaryen 1.0 turned out (pictures don’t do it justice), and was tempted to just offer that again. But I felt a more Ferrari-like logo was needed for a Ferrari-red jersey. The motto is on the front crest, making this a true sigil.

And lastly, the Night’s Watch jersey. I already posted one design I really liked, but in retrospect it did seem sparse and busy at the same time (quite a feat). “Rangers” as a team name was retained, but the “Night’s Watch” text was incorporated into the front logo. The white stripe represents The Wall. The sword Claw is represented here. The design is a homage to the Oakland Raiders. There is one spot of color here. The Captain’s patch is mandatory for this jersey.

The following won’t be offered initially, but if there is a good enough response it will be made available. I already have a few Direwolves jerseys, so I thought it would be fun to create an all-new 30′s-era design based on this old Chicago Blackhawks jersey.

The docile wolf is indicative of the era, so those used to the demon wolf logo may need more time for this design to grow on them. I’m sure the vintage fanatics will like it.

I made these Harry Pawter jerseys available last month, and for whatever reason people kept misspelling theirs as “Potter”, but who am I to stop them? This person here went with a rather cheeky “Chosen 1″ which is pretty darn clever.

Beautiful work by Rinkgear as always. The embroidery on all the crests is stellar.

These will be shipped out next week. Pretty quick turnaround this time, though likely due to the small order. The low turnout means that this jersey will never be offered again, and plans to make the other houses available (like Slytherin) have been shelved indefinitely. The Potter fandom has got nothing on those rabid Game Of Thrones fans.

Sorry this order is now closed. Jerseys go into full production today. Thanks to those who ordered, these will ship in early June. That embroidered front crest looks pretty sweet.

I should confess I haven’t played an EA NHL game since NHL 09, which is odd for me as I played just about every iteration of that series religiously prior to that. Instead, I dabble with some SNES NHL 94 now and again. There is nothing wrong with the recent EA games, but I find myself more often than not dreaming up other hockey video games I’d rather play. And here they are:

1. Stylus-based hockey game for the Nintendo DS/3DS. If I could open a bank account in the U.S.A. this would be my Kickstarter project. Basically you do all your passing and shooting with the stylus, and you’d control the player with the D-pad or thumbstick. You’d swap players automatically or hit the bumper button to do so.

Passing and shooting would be drag and release motions with the stylus. You could execute some fancy dekes within your puck range (the blue circle on the bottom screen), or try to intercept passes with an active stick. One interesting play mechanic is fighting for the puck in the corners with the opponent, or trying to fish the puck out from a scrum.

The top screen layout would be friendlier to the NES Ice Hockey/Blades Of Steel side-to-side play, rather than the EA NHL 16-bit games which had an up-and-down orientation.

This game would also be ideal for the Wii U, which also has a stylus.

2. Lego Hockey. This game would be a traditional hockey game like the EA NHL series, but the players (minifigs) would explode into several pieces when hit. There would also be a powerup system where you strategically build brick walls to aid your team/fluster the opponent. Read more about it here.

3. Nintendo Ice Hockey 2. Another game I touched on before, however this could be done in the style of the stylus game I mentioned above. One thing that I would like to add is that when a fight occurs, it would launch into a Smash Bros. style of game.

I was going to say an iPad table hockey game, but that was attempted with mixed results.

Thought I’d post this design based on a personal favorite: Galaxy Quest. One of those great films that could have easily been turned into a franchise, but I’m glad it didn’t turn out that way. I think they used up all the mileage they could making fun of Star Trek. Also the basic premise would be tough to revisit.

Nesmith wears grey with navy blue accents, but I went with the color scheme found on the majority of the crew, as I feel it looks more representative of the film. It could be made in an array of colors, just like this Star Trek set I did a while back.

I am still plugging away on the jersey designs for the upcoming Game Of Thrones offer, which will feature the Night’s Watch, Targaryen Dragons, and Stark Direwolves. Both Targaryen 2.0 and Direwolves 4.0 need some touching up, but I thought I’d share the Night’s Watch design.

If you’re not familiar with the books or show, the Night’s Watch do not have a sigil. So I created one that uses a crow – a nickname for the Watch. Went with Rangers as a team name, which felt better suited than having “Night’s Watch” plastered over the main logo. Also Rangers is a familiar team name. Night’s Watch was relegated to a shoulder patch that also features the sword Longclaw.

The jersey had to be predominantly black, no way of getting around that. One design touch I made was making a light grey mid-stripe that also rides high on the arms. This stripe represents the Wall. What can I say? I’m a sucker for symbolism.

Note: I forgot to change the number from a previous Hunger Games design, which is why it reads as 74. Should read 97 for the old bear.

I have been super-busy as of late, and one of the reasons is that I am preparing realistic jersey designs for…something (sorry that’s a surprise). What you see above is the ol’ Green Lantern jersey design on a 3D mesh. I’m about 50% completed on the 3D mesh.

Once I am done I will start to showcase designs and offers using these CG models instead of vector art. It will look close to the finished product, which is a huge upside.

Thought I’d share this in case you are wondering why I haven’t posted the newest Game Of Thrones offer (I am still polishing those designs). Been really swamped, apologies for not getting to your comments and emails right away, try to bear with me.

I want to get the designs right the first time I post them (no tweaking!). I also want to avoid more cancellations.

Sorry for the delay on these, I know some of you are checking every hour for these to drop. When they finally do arrive the offer will be open for at least a month, so there is no urgency in my opinion. Plenty of time to order.

There are the only 2 guys from The Avengers that translate well to a hockey jersey (in this blogger’s humble opinion): Captain America and Iron Man. I actually made one for Thor, but it looked weird. You just need to buy a plain green practice jersey for the Hulk.

These are rather generic-looking and could possibly be offered one day (would need to dispose of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo). Unless Marvel trademarked the American flag, amirite??
