And that concludes another successful order run. The Browncoats jersey may return at a later date. The Voltron jersey has an interesting future ahead; I hope to divulge more on that in the coming weeks.

Thanks to those who ordered! These should be completed in 5 weeks.

  1. Love the design. Looking forward to ordering a browncoat jersery!

  2. Cutoff date is 16 feb. I get paid on the 17th. So close, and yet so far away…

    • Rinkgear will usually take a few days to send an invoice email. Just saying!

      • *sigh* I know. But I lost my job and found another and I just don’t know if the next paycheck will let me cover the bills and have enough for something like this. Being a huge FF fan I’d love to get in on this, but just wish the deadline were two weeks further out when I know I could afford it.

Oh well, I’ll most likely be getting one of the Fire and Ice jerseys for sure.

      • Sorry, it’s a month-long window and is the best I can do. But these will be back — this is the 3rd GoT order I’ve done in six months, so there’s no urgency really.

      • Er… Song of Ice and Fire, aka Game of Thrones jerseys, I meant to say.

Not enough caffeine in the system yet, I see.

      • Any chance of another browncoat run further out? That’s the one I’m really interested in.

Also, I suspect it would be a seriously niche market, but what about roleplaying games like Vampire and Werewolf?

      • There is a 50/50 chance of the Browncoats coming back. I’ll probably wait to see the response to the finished jerseys, and then make any tweaks.

I’ve gotten plenty of obscure requests, so I don’t mind taking on another! Will probably do a design down the road sometime, maybe around Halloween.

    • Well I do hope you’ll get a good response to the FF one, sine I’ll definitely be getting in on the next one if possible. As I said, I’d be in on this one, but the timing of bills just won’t let me.

  3. What source did you base Voltron’s crest off of? In the cartoon, his crest was blue, red, orange, and green. The jersey looks great regardless, I was just curious. :)

  4. I hate to be the one that says this (since maybe I’m just being selfish as I was lucky enough to get a Browncoats jersey) but a the limit of 25 jerseys was a really big selling point for me. I understand this might turn into a business opportunity for you (or maybe lawyers will shut you down), and some of these are just too popular not to do re-runs of, but, I think if you’re going to offer a certain jersey again it should be a completely new design as to save the “uniqueness” of the originally jersey. Thanks :)

    • All extremely valid points, and apologies to you for being an early adopter! At the rate which they sold I anticipate only a few more sneaking in. I felt it best to be transparent about what’s going on either way.

I got a few panicked emails when I updated to 90%, so my guilt did me in here. It’s always difficult to get emails after an order closes from those who missed out. Being this close I can live with an extra 1.5 days before shutting it down.

But chalk this up to habit too – I tend to add an extra day or two to every order deadline.

This is something I’ve often mentioned, but if I redo any runs the design will be tweaked, as was the case for the Direwolves and Voltron, and soon Lannister.

      • Oops! I guess I wasn’t too clear. I don’t have any problem letting a few more go on this run I was more concerned about re-runs ruining the uniqueness!

      • Oh no worries! The jerseys will always evolve. This Voltron one is a huuuge step ahead of the first sublimated version. Much to the chagrin of people who ordered those.

  5. So excited about the Voltron jersey! Make sure the arms don’t get swapped this time! ;)

  6. got in on the first Browncoat one and if you do another will be in on that one 2 maybe you go the bad guys Blue Sun Corporation lol

  7. Browncoat Jersey ordered, thanks for leaving the order open a little longer.

Mass Effect has some cool groups, Cerberus, Blue Suns, Eclipse and the Blood Pack that would make some pretty cool jerseys too.

  8. Deadline is here -YAY!!!! Sooo looking forward to this jersey.

  9. Wait… maybe I missed something. If we submitted an order after the initial 25 ceiling was reached but before the official deadline today, what’s the status of that order? Accepted? Rejected? Please clarify. Thanks.

  10. If you have not yet received your invoice, please be sure to send us an email: info@rinkgear.com

Thank you all for supporting Dave’s great designs, and our jerseys :)

  11. So…. 5 weeks they will be shipped, or 5 weeks they will be shipping? I’m a little sad I won’t have it in time for the end of our local hockey :(

  12. Hi
I put in my order but I still haven’t gotten an invoice for my Brown Coat. Just want to make sure I pay before they start getting made

  13. I know rink gear take a few days for an invoice but i put my order in on the 26th of January so I’m a little worried that my order may have gotten lost or something.

  14. cool, thank you

  15. Andrew Frankow

Im a browncoat. And I actually play hockey three times a week. I need that jersey… Name the price man! It would actually would be less nerdy to wear that than my many leafs jerseys…

  16. Okay, now I’m just gorram mad; not only did I miss the Link jersey but there was also a VOLTRON jersey??? Man, I just found your site TODAY. =0(

    *dies, and is dead.*
